Folk Dancing Festival on Gotland

August 10 - 13, 2008 

Experience genuine Visby during the best time of the year together with many others in the Folk Dancing Festival on Gotland August 10-13, 2008.

The Folk Dancing Festival on Gotland is organized by Visby Folkdansgille and the holiday camp Kneippbyn.

The festival is a three-day international event. We anticipate 250 participants.

There will also be an opportunity to dance in an old (1911) dance hall in Kneippbyn, where accommodations for stay such as cottages, a hostel, bed and breakfast or a tourist hotel are available.

Kneippbyn is also Gotland’s most modern camping site. The area is very popular for children and is the location of the original house from the film Pippi Longstocking. There are many children activites and a water park.

Welcome to the unique island in the middle of The Baltic Sea.

Folklore-evening at Kneippbyn

Gathering together for closing ceremonies in Mangsarveänget, Ekeby.
